Me...

Hello! My name is Nadia Birkitt, and I am located in Bristol, VA. I am a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Major in Media and Communication and a Minor in English, and I am the Marketing Manager at Appalachian Sustainable Development (ASD).

I have eight years of retail experience, where I have worked in many fast-paced environments. Alongside my retail experience, I have had a career in acting. I attended the American Music and Dramatic Academy in New York and received my certificate in Acting from AMDA in 2018. My biggest role is on an episode of ABC’s “What Would You Do?”

While I still love to act, I am very focused on building my career in marketing. Before my current role, I served as a Marketing VISTA for 1 year and 9 months, which helped me apply my education to real-world work and learn about all that ASD does for the community.

My time at ASD has given me invaluable experience, and I am excited to continue to grow with them. I love serving my community, and helping people have access to fresh, healthy food is a very meaningful cause to me.

I am a strong believer in diversity and inclusion. Having been in environments where these values have not been strongly advocated, I know the difference they can make for a team. I look forward to growing my skillset and education while working for such a great nonprofit organization.
